You know the answer. Probably wet. That doesn't mean it can't be a fun NYE type trip though...

it was wet last year, but still managed to climb both christmas day and new years day with stinking hangovers, just come join in the party, after all new year is for drinking not for climbing  :beer2: :dance1: :pissed: :great:

Went last year for a few days with a glorious forecast of cold temps, sun and a very small chance of the odd snow flurry. First morning (-6'c as the sun was rising over paris) and day were perfect winter weather. -2'c at dusk so nothing should go wrong, somehow it rained overnight and then froze onto the rocks so everything was fucked for the next few days  >:( >:( >:( :spank:  >:(

Hi, we're also thinking of heading to Font for New Year - those of you who've been at that sort of time, where did you stay?  I seem to be finding that quite a few of the campsites are shut over Christmas.

cheers

you'll freeze in a tent.

presuming you have a car at the very least get a motel (formula 1), hotel or best of a gite.

Neil h has a gite complex that would suit as his gites come in varying sizes to suit the number in your party.

Well it doesn't look good letting the guests know how much hard work it is as they are there to have a holiday. Though they sometimes get a glimpse.

The last thing I think Neil wants the vids to be is Smug and Gloating, and I think that saying that they are just reflects badly on the person saying it. :wank:

Next time the septic tank needs sorting out (hopefully it won't), we'll give you a call. Fancy being knee deep in Poo?  :o

I think you may have missed some of the sarcasm in Fiends post

I think Fiend might have missed putting sarcasm into Fiend's post  :-\

If there was stealth sarcasm then you have my apology Fiend, though the offer to sort out the septic tank if it needs sorting next time still stands

Cheers everyone - since I got home yesterday there seems to have been a change of plan anyway. It has been decided that it may well be a bit wet and cold in Font so we're going to head to Scotland instead. Um....

Good luck with that. You know they still sell Croissant Almond in Font, even when it is raining. Same for Choss au Pomme...

BKB, I was joking, just a play on words  :beer2:, I'm no fool even though I sometimes play it, I can easily imagine how much hard work goes into Le Maisonbleau.

Rowies > almond croissant, then again rowies > everything.
