Excellent, I hope that it's suitably silly

I read that to my two little lads this morning before breakfast. Cool book that I remember vividly from my childhood.

Just hope the film's longer than it takes to read the book :)

There's a really good trailer online - looks mega. I got a bit choked up just watching that but I am sentimental fool..

Loving the book as I do, and regularly read it to the Blobs, I'm a little wary of a film of it.  I would hate to see it, find it's shit, and taint the original in some way.

I was wondering what had happened to this, they were filming at Arapiles when I was there in late 2006.

Can I just make the point in a non patronising and less than perfect dad way, you're never to young to be read to, the choice of material might be an issue, eg Brave New World at 12 might just turn your progeny into a mini sloper....

Hugo has had WTWTA read to him since he was 3 days old.

oh I know... already read him bits of my doctral thesis - some of it I don't fully understand anymore  :-[

I just want his reaction to be one of recognition when I first read it to him if that makes sense...

You really are a slow reader. Can you remember which one is a curly 'c' and which one is a kicking 'k' yet?
