Why oh why did I think that DIY was going to be a good idea and that the bathroom walls needed a lick of paint.

It's been a bit of a combination of the previous owners slacking on their original paint job, my over enthusiasm and the old paint being a bit better attached to the wall than expected. I've now removed more plaster than paint and the only way to remedy it is to get the walls reskimmed.

Any recommendations for a plasterer for a quick cash job in Sheffield (S8)?

I was recommended a chap based out in Calver who works in Sheffield - I'll try & find his number. He seemed pretty good.

On the same vain I need an electrician to install some outside lights - the wiring is in place just need to replace the lights which have broken.

Not used him yet (he's coming round in a few weeks), but had him reccomended: John 07725176193. £120 a day. Seems a nice bloke on the phone. Texted me back with a number of a fireplace fitter which I'd asked him about which is more than can be said for most tradesmen.

Anybody know any other fireplace / stove fitters?

I'd started with a very similar idea using the "recommended" thread on sheffieldforum but it quickly became obvious that a good proportion of the "recommendations" were mates posting up false positives so I reverted to personal recommendations from people on here and out in the big blue room.

Hi I'm plasterer in Sheffield s5 I can give u a ruff price of £65 per wall but I'd need a proper look cuz it depends on the size of the walls but call me on 07983534399
