Overnight Parking near the Ormes

Does anyone know of any decent, quiet overnight parking spots for camper vans near the Ormes please?

Had a look on google earth and there looks to be a good spots on the Great Orme road near the light house and castel y gwnt, but I've no idea if it van friendly or not i.e. is overnight parking frowned upon by local authorities/police.

Is The Great Orme Road, Marine Drive, or a road to Great Orme?

I mean the Marine Drive, the two way bit beyond the turn-off. It can be approached in a couple of other ways other than via the cave so as not to have to pay a toll.

you could park on top of the orme in the big car park, could be a nice spot i reckon, don't need to go on the toll road to get there either

I think Malcolm used to park up his van on Marine Drive when he was down trying The Big Link. There is sometimes a bit of a boy racer/party scene in some of the laybys on weekend nights, although that trend may have passed on as I've not noticed much roadside detritus in the last 6 months.

I doubt you'd get moved on by the council or police if the van was only there for a night or two.

Here was where I thought might be worth checking:

am pretty sure this (in grassy flat open area on LHS [LHS if driving away from Pen Trwyn] ) is where i parked van for 1 night at some stage last summer. if not exactly here its nearby. it was a mid-week night and there was a bit of local youth action but this didnt go on late and wasnt of the loud / annoying variety anyway. conwy council van drove by in the morning and nobody stopped to say anything so i reckon its ok if its not a 'permanent' stay.
