So what is the best way of attatching what kind of brush to a telescopic pole so to better brush far away slopers?
I have a brush and a pole, hmm, and nether the twain shall meet.....
Iam off to Font next week and building a brush on a stick is a way of making my holiday start sooner, so forgive me

bollocks. I went staight in there with finger tape. I chopped out a bit to make it seat nicely and went staight ahead and taped it on. Not bad, bit of a squeak when under pressure, but not bad. But how can I look anybody in the face without the proffesional attitude of fucking zip ties. SHIT.
Maybe this brush will break or I will lose it and then I can make a better one.
Cheers

gaffer tape (aka cloth tape) is the stuff you need. tape your brush to the end of the pole with this for a secure but flexible fit that will help reduce brush snappings. Worth keeping a roll handy for all other repair jobs - brilliant stuff. A mate of mine used to have a car nearly built entirely out of gaffer tape

I must admit, I have gaffer on the 'brush of destiny' tm but having read Gollums comments, I'm tempted to quickly redo it in Zipties. I'm suprised Gollum uses a brush on a stick at all - are those big damn trucks with ladders insufficient?

Ladders (like decaff coffee) are the work of the devil. Zip ties came about following years of experimenting in the lab in search of the perfect brush (aka Holy Grail). They allow a stiff brush and a tooth brush to be attached and work in perfect harmony without  producing any bad kharma. :D

My mate Jim bolted his brush to a walking pole, he then gaffered over it all. On our 2nd day in font I broke the brush off using it as a golf club. He now has a walking pole with two bolts in...useful.

I got a stick with a screw thread in the end (chimney brush extender rod) and glued a brush into the screw end. when it dries you can unscrew the brush with glue. repeat with other sized brushes and you have a fully interchangeable cleaning device.
nice :hols:

I use a snapped off radio aerial and finger tape, it's nicely telescopic but I do find it quite hard to stop rotation when I apply preassure.

gaffer tape is hte way to go. Also the pro's choice for the stick is the £2 cheap extendable one you can buy in carfour at font. make sure you don't get fat kuntz falling on it though cos they bend, my brushstick is now well and truly stoke-on-trent.

you can also get the extendable pole from wilkinsons for about the same money under the catch all title of 'decorators pole'.
Plus if you gaffa tape your brush on you can always take it off when you need to paint the ceiling - well usefull   :D
