Setting @ the works. What d'you reckon?

Looks like someone from the works is coming darn sarf to reset my usual wall.
So what do people think? Should I be  :bounce: or  :o? given that I'm a big fan of the resident setter.

imaging taking your favourite wall and embedding a filing cabinet, microwave and fridge-freezer into it and bolting some holds on. if you've now got a hard-on, you're quids in.

:-\ Hmmm so only one review & that can be described as 'mixed'.

Perhaps its because no one know what you like about your resident setters style, thus no one knows how to compare the style of routes set at your local wall to those set at the Works?

A point of reference is usually a good starting point for such things  ;)

I don't think I'm able to define exactly what I mean by good climbing any more than I can define exactly what makes  music good ( & if I could pin that down exactly I think I'd be busy planning my 3rd farewell stadium tour)

It's a lot easier to define bad setting though. It usually seems to come down to massive reaches between
overlarge holds.

Perhaps a visit to the Works to get a feel for the style would be useful, either that or wait and see  :)

And remember, quality is subjective  ;)

But neither of those  options will pass an afternoon at work.

There isn't too much of that at The Works (unless you climb on the Comp wall apparently but I don't).  ;)
