North Wales Bouldering guide (sorry)
August 05, 2003, 03:01:36 pm
People must be getting pretty sick of this, but does anyone know when it'll be out?- it's just that I've heard this it'll be this month so it's like the run up to Christmas and I can't sleep :)
Anyway, good luck with it- I'm shure it'll be ace when it does come of age.

I've been producing the final proof pages this week, so I guess it should be out by the end of the month. Knowing my luck the printers will probably burn down.

Cheers, Simon

whats the damage going to be for one of these beauties then Si?

should have saved all the proofreading and done what rockfax effectivley do, bring it out full of errors and then let everyone pay you £20 for the privelidge of proofreading it for you!

I did contemplate a flat £20, because that is what I think it is worth, but then I got worried that the £20 watershed was a step too far some people.
Therefore, £18.95 it is.

Not bad for 304 pages of divine inspiration and guidance.

Oh, and a rather smart UKbouldering advert featuring your good self.

The front cover shot is something of a departure from yer normal run of the mill climbing guide shot.

I'm not going to spoil the impact of it by telling you exactly what it is, but if you think about it, there really can only be one person and one problem on the front cover.

I showed it to Mark Katz and Tim Carruthers recently and despite the oblique nature of the image, they both got it straight away.

As for the UKB ad, Scouse is not covered up at the moment, but I could move the text if there are any major objections.

Simon

will you be selling it on line anywhere?

its gonna be a while before i'm back in the UK to get hold of a copy (or use it for that matter but never mind) and i'm v. keen to see what it's like after all the effort you've put in

could also do with some renewed inspiration for putting together a HK guide (and poach any nice ideas i spot in your book   )

I don't usually touch London Rd with a barge pole due to it's gnarly BBC type activities, but might have a look in if it's decent....
