Should Peter Hain be sacked?
January 11, 2008, 06:06:30 pm
Seriously folks, WTF is going on?

How can you spend nearly £200k campaigning for a 'post' which has only nominal 'power'?

How can you claim to have acted honestly when you solicited campaigns AFTER the contest ended?

How can people defend the fact that he broke the law on the basis, err well he was busy?

How can anyone vote for this bunch of corrupt cvnts? And yes, before anyone says that there have been breaches on all sides, I would suggest that the Labour Party is in a different leauge when it comes to corruption and sleaze.

I find it hard to care very much about it tbh.

Just another corrupt and power-hungry politician.

He's broken the law so I guess he should have some sort of wrist slapping. Sack him? I don't know - will that help anything? If you sacked all the politicians who've ever done something slightly illegal would we have any left?

This thread's going well Sloper.

The fact that none of the usual Labour arse lickers have sprung out to defend La Haine is, in itself interesting.

I'd say he's gone by Tuesday evening.

I removed my tongue the moment Blair went to war with Iraq.

Sadly there are those who haven't.

I stopped being in the Labour party when a well known labour big wig tried to stop me shagging her daughter.  I didn't have the best chance of doing the deed but her intervention turned me into a life long tory.

Some of the above is true

Peter Hain should be umbongo-ed.

I can't think of a particular reason why, I'd just like to see it.

What's with resigning every time one of these cunts makes a balls up? For the rest of us, when we fuck up, don't we have to make a giant effort at putting it right, sharpish?

They have many jobs bringing in hundreds of thousands a year, why would they give two shits about losing the lowest payed but most exposed and stressful position?  Expedient bimbos.

Voting.  Danke, nein.

It's not interesting.  It's purely symptomatic of the fact that the people who go on ukb couldn't give a monkey's toss about Peter Hain.   He's obviously a simpleton, and I don't even like politics.

But we must admire Slopers' persistance (if little else) in attempting to start political discourse w/people who show less than no interest at all.

I always did like Sisyphus . . .

He should resign or be sacked.

If I'd failed to declare 200 grand on my tax return or as income into the business that I run I would be sacked and probably fined.  Incompetence is no excuse in court.

So people on UKB don't care about politics, great I presume you're all happy to shell out £200 for an ID card and £2000 to bail out Northern Wreck?

OR perhaps we do but this kind of forum isn't the sort of place we care to discuss it.

Or death by umbongo

Hain's website claims that "The key to this website is dialogue", but he's not answered any of my questions. Shifty bastard.

Slopes, you and I will contact each other the day I have to shell out 200 notes.  Agreed.  This is not going to happen (maybe you'll pay) I assure you I won't.

I know you will correct me if I'm wrong.

Pray tell, who is this item of ephemera that will change the very direction of my life, inform me, show me up, make it clear, shamone motherfucker, give me something to think at night . . .

Nothing will happen, you will be offended, if never would happen but you knew that all ready . . . there, there . . .

I think the problem is more your choice of 'controversy' in this case. Its too much of no-brainer.
