A slightly above avergae 9 for me , would have been 10 with shrooms.

As Old Cheese, those wild experiMENTAL days are long gone, it was fun though.

(Any young impressionable folks reading this, DRUGS ARE BAD, UMKAY!!!)

I think i'm on 9 or 10.

I think it's a little misguided to rate methadone below cocaine, or to not distinguish between diffrent forms of the same substance.

I mean, a few lines of charlie at the weekend is a bit different to a full blown crack habit, and the one doesn't necessarily ever lead to the other.

Ketamine above tobacco?

Ecstasy so low in the table, when it's long term effects are still largely unknown?

Shit, we've all done them, last time I went on a long haul flight with my folks my Dad produced a handful of jellies he'd got from 'a doctor friend' and then distributed them to the family. Luckily I managed to keep 'em off the whisky until they fell asleep.

LOL, whatever happened to him?

Does Crystal Meth (methamphetamine) come under amphetamine?

<edit>

Just had a butchers at the Lancet paper, and it turns out that they did some complicated (Delphic) analysis with it but essentially the experts were

" asked to score each substance for each of these nine parameters, using a four-point scale, with 0 being no risk, 1 some, 2 moderate, and 3 extreme risk."

Nice to guess right (more or less) but it's actually quite a nice paper.(and no I'm not just saying that because the lead researcher is from Bristol)

When I worked in research there was a lab that used a lot of HCN so they had a full syringe of amyl nitrate in a smash in case of emergency case, unfortunately for them the local junkies got to know about it so they got broken into on and almost weekly basis...
now I come to write it out not very interesting but none the less true...

I wonder where wheelie bins fit in on that scale?

I scored 8 (plus two omissions from the list 'shrooms and 2CB's).

Wow - some of you are proper drug fiends.  Interesting reading, mind.

I've tried nowhere near as many drugs as half of the people here...  But I've been careful to binge on all I've tried.

Salut!   :alky:  (hic)

The drug classification system in the UK is not "fit for purpose" and should be scrapped, scientists have said.

If you have the time then this piece from Russell Brands' book is well worth a read.

oh dear, i'm on 13 too.

i am quite partial to a bit of khat actually. i have a well-picked plant just by the front door. whenever i am feeling a little jaded when leaving for work i pluck a couple of leaves and spend the next two hours trying to disguise the bulge twixt lip and tooth. i also find it useful for situations where i would otherwise pass out in a narcoleptic stupor. such as dinner with associates from work.

i would've tried steroids but i don't really fancy trusting my credit card information with an anonymous turkish pharmacist. despite all the stories about shrivelled genitalia and chronic acne, i do find the prospect of being able to burst through my clothing incredibly alluring. although perhaps a pair of paper trousers would be safer in the long term...
