St Ives is the wrong end of kernow though. if you're near the border and have transport I'd head to Combeshead tor, my favourite spot on dartmoor, and the right side of it for those approaching from the west. javu is a good resource.

St Mawes don't count as SE kernow in my book! from there prob the north coast stuff nr newquay or at the north end of gwithian. There's a few locals on here that'll be along soon with better info I imagine.

Carn Brea, should be able to get the bus to Camborne/Redruth (if no car) and a small hike... Kernow is pretty small, nothing is too far from anywhere else and an hours driving will get you anywhere in the county.

will you have transport?   if not your best (only) bet, is probably to get the ferry to Falmouth and boulder on the sea wall!

I'd say Carn Brea is your best bet, which can be done on public transport, as can St Ives (Clodgy). Not that I have done either. Worst case scenario is the delights of the indoor wall at Penryn, I'm sure bouldering on sea walls around Falmouth is a lot better than that though.
