Brads Wall
November 05, 2006, 02:23:45 pm
Not beta I'm after, so much as confirmation my sequence is kosher. Pic in guide shows ru going again with LH to the upper of the two LH crimps. Now my contact strength being what it is (probably due to not having a 10 rung campus board in my living room), I decided to forego this hideous snatch in favour of the following: from LH on lower crimp, RH on wierd shallow pocket/sidepull, LF on ledge below overlap under crumbling foothold... Toehook RF round arete just below RH; RH to upper crimp; match LH on upper crimp; RH back to shallow pocket thing; RF in crumbling foothold; slap up R for top; etc.

Does this count?

Awesome little problem anyway.

PS Who's Brad? thought his arete and rib were pretty fine too...

Sounds convoluted but legit to me.
Is that foothold crumbling again? I thought that had been sorted out, might need re-sorting

yeah, its a very roundabout way through it, but works. plus toehooks are the future and should be utilised at all times.

the foothold seemed fine actually, the description 'crumbling' was more to identify it. you done some work on this bonjoy? fine job if so, didn't even notice.

It was the trial foothold for mystery substance X. The foothold was in such a state I figured that even a totally disasterous result would be no worse than the default outcome, so I went ahead with the application. It was about four years ago now and it seems to have remained solid ever since.
