Looks piss to me, but then obviously it's not, having seen Mo in action at the woody - funny how it's hard to tell sometimes how hard a problem is, if I hadn't have known anything about the problem or the boulderer then I'd have said about V5 or something.

Has anyone else seen this problem? I had a quick look one day and was pretty gobsmacked that someone would bother spending 18 months on it, its crap. Does anyone know if its eliminate or can you use the obvious arete on the left?

I see where you're coming from here - its hardly "line of the century".

I cant understand.  He uses the arete with his foot but not with his hands.  It looks as if he toe hooks the arete a bit before the slap.  Does anyone know if this is right or have I got it wrong?

It almost looks like he stands on a small bit of the arete rather than hooking.

I couldnt tell if he was standing on an edge around the arete or just hooking.  Maybe he dosnt do anything and just sticks his foot there for balance, in mid air.  If he does use it then why only for his feet and not his hands.  I have never seen the problem (except on the vid) so I need someone to fill me in.

Thats what i mean, why doesn't he use the massive arete four inches to the left for his left hand?
