Dave Macleod has managed the big line on the Anvil.

Weather is great up here at the moment. Not too warm and no biting midgies yet.  Ticks are out though.

Great looking route - how steep is it? and good pictures too - looks like Switzerland or somewhere in the Italian lakes.  Well done McLeod!

Steeper than that pic, unless the water level in the loch is uneven.

There is a video on one of the websites of him doing the other route that this one joins up with (or leaves, I get confused)!

Or a slab if that tree should be vertical!

This gives a better idea of the steepness.

What an awesome effort - presumably this is the legendary "Project McFuck" I've been hearing about. Most impressive is the 4 mile walk to get to the crag (although you can hire mountain bikes). You won't get many Tor habitues going there! Dave just seems to be going from strength to strength to strength. Inspiring stuff...

And the all important angle of the tree.

That is an awesome line from a climber who seems to be rapidly progressing beyond "awesome".  Wow.

Plus he clearly doesn't mind a bit of a walk in.  If he had a profile on here I think he would be the most wadded person on the site by now; every week he seems to do something incredible (and in a range of styles - bouldering/trad/sport etc).
