I find that whole sort of thing really bizarre.

I can understand if they had a Gaelic version of the website but to adopt a stupid phonetic version of English in a Scottish accent is just ridiculous and smacks of a desperate attempt to be different for the sake of it.

What if all parts of the UK that speak English with a strong accent did the same thing?
