"Stone Country" Bouldering guide to Scotland is available soon.

I might even be in it.

You think he is referring to us?

I don't think it's an unfair description - people who are very keen on bouldering (junkies), discuss it with a lot of passion (gibbering) in whatever communication media there are (online....as well as elsewhere one presumes).

Presumably it will be full of tasteful black and white photos showing half of Si'O Connor's nipple on his latest V18 testpiece...

My dictionary differs from yours:

Quote
Gibber

speak fast and inarticulately; chatter incoherently

...but not much!

But perhaps the guidebook author was referring to this definition:

Quote
Gibber    n. Austral.

a boulder or large stone

In which, case Gibbering would be another word for Bouldering!

And he got an apostrophe in there too! I think Dave might have to give him a spanking.

Dictionaries aside, it looks like the guide is now available:

Stone Country

Would be nice to see a list of all the crags and major areas covered though. And some sample pages wouldn't go amiss.

I'd love to go bouldering in Scotland some time, but I don't really have much idea of where everything is and where the major concentrations of bouldering are. Anyone know of any online bouldering maps?
