Some might argue that perspective on a grade is lost when you've got a problem totally wired to the point of running laps.

No no, that's the point when you are doing it only for the quality, and the grade ceases to matter. Only then can you gain the detachment required to be truly objective, grasshopper.

I'd say bottom end 7c+, but talented people say 7c. So lets go with top end 7c. (scientific, no?) but not sure i can comment as i have been spat off a number of times matching on that sloper side pull of justice like a spanner. One of the few great problems on grit that i feel like putting in the effort to finish. someday.

I really can't decide so probably won't vote. One consideration I guess is that a soft 7c+ will get loads more hammer from hungry grade baggers than a hardcore 7c.

Would love it to be 7c+ to get the tick but think it probably felt like 7c. Having said that I know other stronger boulderers who cant touch it.

7c+  :)

7c     :(

7c+  :)

7c?    :?

I've gone for 7c because its all in the technique and foreign people always flash it.

Blockhead, is your picture the new woody at Nottingham Wall? I used to be at the uni and just missed it, but reckon the old one is one of the best I've used  :P

Yeah, Its the new board in the cellar at nottingham wall. The old board is still there the new one faces it. Me and a mate spent most of the summer 2003 on and off building it . Most of the holds are wood again but they took so long to make and fit i ended up putting about 100 bolt ons up to speed things up. The footholds are just how they should be - shite!

The old board was good but i reckon this is better. If i can work out how to do it I'll post a picture. We're thinkin of going all modern now and are trying to work out where to fit one of these new fangled campus boards
