Podcasts...
April 06, 2006, 10:06:01 am
Anyone care to post any podcasts worth listening to.

Mike Watt, ex-Minutemen and Firehose bass player and friend of the Sonics has a great one called The Watt from Pedro Show which is a mixture of great obscure tunes, Watts ramblings and interviews with the likes of Nels Cline, Lee Ranaldo and others.

I don't think you need an iPod to play it so it should work on a computer...

I liked the Ricky Gervais stuff on the Guardian website.

Okay, it was just him and others spouting shit, but how funny! I did that really bad thing of giggling out loud while on a plane, inviting disapproving looks from all around me...

Yeah I really enjoyed the Gervais stuff too. There are new ones out now but I think you have to pay for them!

The Bugle is absolutely brilliant, can't praise it highly enough. Usual stuff on BBC plus /Filcast and Empire podcast are good if you like films.

But really, the Bugle is ace

Christopher Sommers, former USA Olympic gymnastics coach. No nonsense observations on training. First 10 minutes bit waffley and a bit too much interviewer input, but soon gathers pace and becomes very interesting.
