Would anyone be keen for a group order from Send, for knee pads?
I will forward an email to them as of August 1st, suggesting the order may be made.

If you are interested, please give me an idea of what you would like to order by then.

The final deadline for ordering will be August 28th and the order will be confirmed and paid on Sept 1st.

I will be out on peak or Yorkshire Lime most weekends (I am based in Cambs).

Remember. You will still pay just as much inport tax on it. Think i paid £30 import tax for mine

Ok. Looking at the rather dense website.. You have to pay Vat and duty. Vat is 20% and I couldn't find a duty code for a knee pad.. But for a sleeping bag it was 3.5%.. So add 22-25% to the total cost (inc shipping).

I think it's probably a case of making sure they fill in any paperwork correctly with the right code.

Hadyn - looking at the codes - if it's a gift (which yours was) then if it's under £65 then no vat or duty.... They or someone probably hadn't written GIFT all over it etc...

Edit - it may week be cheaper to pay for them individually and the individual postage if that's the case - see how it stacks up. Makes you realise how easy the EU makes things..
