Forest Rock has become a bit of a go to bouldering venue in the last year or so with visits from climbers across the UK, recent articles and videos across the web have increased this. It is a unique and pleasant venue situated in the heart of a Leicestershire village surrounded by the local residents.  But with the rise of traffic in recent months from visiting climbers there has also been an increase in rubbish and mess in the form of general litter and rubbish being left. But also more worrying people deciding to use the venue as a toilet! It is set in a small area with houses overlooking please walk along the road to the pub if you need to go for a crap! 

Can all climbers visiting this great little venue please clean up after themselves, keep voices and bad language down, take all litter away with you and even make an effort an clean up stuff that may be lying around. The local climbers have been using this venue for many years and would like to keep the local residents on our side and this crag open for use...

Pretty sure most of the rubbish is from local youths not climbers. Certainly seemed that way when I went a few times a couple of years ago - we had to do quite a bit of clearing up.

That was the impression I got when I went to check out the place with Dawid quite a few years ago, before the new wave of bouldering developments which have made the place so popular. I remember the cave having quite a bit of rubbish in, which a few climbers cleared up so they could start bouldering in there.

Of course, nothing wrong with encouraging people to clean up!

The local scouts or maybe cubs cleaned the whole place up nicely not too long ago, so its a lot less of a job to keep it looking good now providing everyone who goes down there pitches in a bit.

Yeah but i didnt leave it on the floor, I throughtully smeared it along the holds on enchantress before I left.
