#25 Horrible finger experience...

i have the same injury as tim, not climbed on lime for a month just open handed grit. had a wk off bin doin the old hot/cold treatment n have been administering excessive friction on myself, n also my injury.   finger feels loads better, still not goin to crimp for the next month methinks. i also do the tape round either side of the knuckle system, as i think that the preferred over/under method is only good for not lettin you use that finger at all, puttin the stress on all the other fingers, a kind of (luke?) parody on what wolfgang said.
as for all this acupuncture, red lights beamin at you etc. please allow me to stand near you while you throw your money away. i also have some glastonbury mud to sell

Has anyone else done the same thing?

Estimated recovery time??

Have done both ring finger pulleys - each time it took about 3-4 months before it was properly healed, but could do trad stuff with bigger holds after about a month - don't be tempted to start crimping again just cos' it doesn't hurt on jugs.

Think I may have done them quite badly though, 'cos each one was accompanied by quite a loud crack

Weren't you at Ilkley a few years ago when My left ring finger made a crack like a Magnum going off! That really hurt!  It still wont quite straighten out so wedding ring has never gone back on.

Much to MrsFH's disgust :bash:
