why?

Just because another viewpoint that falling off would be sketchy even above mats confirms my thought that there is a worthwhile psychological aspect to it.

Sorry that's a bit penile isn't it. Didn't mean to come across that way.

Went running up on Saddleworth moor on saturday.

Went to Burbage South and boulders on sunday.  Ace day, did loads of shit I ain't done before.  Realised that I've hardly done anything at Burbage south.  Stuff on the Useful boulder, sitdowns on the Pock, random aretes in the boulders.

Wandered up to the edge and did the mantle right of Jasons Mantle, before wasting loads of skin on Jasons Mantle.  Then I managed to drag myself over it and felt well chuffed.  All in about 15 minutes, but then my only forte is mantling (thats Castle Hill for you).  Some cool stuff just to the left of Attitude Inspector, lots of rock over/mantle fun.  The brilliant wall on the left of said dyno.  All together a great day, loads of new problems and the best day out for a couple of weeks.

Feel like a teenager suddenly inspired by Burbage, not many people out there who haven't ticked the valley I guess.  Even my mate Mick who seems to have climbed everything in the Peak is psyched for the valley at the moment.  Can't wait for next day off on Wednesday.

What a self obsessed, me me me rant that was.  Sorry! :)

Me and rowie went to a wedding in Bilbao. Really nice city, would have liked to stat for a few days and get some surf in. Got totally ruined on red wine at the wedding and lost about 3 hours of the evening somehow.

Wouldnt have been able to climb anyway as i took a surfboard to the outer shin on Wednesday night on Aberdeen Beach and limping like a bastard.

I had a look at the spring boulders yesterday and they didn't seem in great nick but then it was a warm damp day.

its at boybage north, got some good pictures BTW. will post up tomorrow. Had a top day thursday. Was out with my homies, dense & tetler, bumped into fat boy at boybage north and did loads of stuff I've never tried b4, life in a radioactive dustbin, prob to left of this, small is beautifull, banana direct, thing to right of banana direct. Very good day only spoilt by the fact I couldn't do blind date (in direct sunlight so a bit sweaty) or the nose (was knackered after 4 hours of climbing)

watch your language. a tall, tall guy did it using the best sequence i have ever seen. basically come round the nose onto the first good right hand hold, then slap up with your left, again, again, again, n top with your left. his right hand was still on the good hold

when you say "good right hand hold" , do you mean the main sloper on the nose, or the good break hold after that? if the latter, thats what i go with the LH to the top off.
