If you're around bristol, I've got one you can have for free, but the elastic is pretty well shot, and needs spare bulb replacing. On plus side, it does have helmet clips on the strap.

I find the bulb light more agreeable than LEDs.

I have a BD headtorch that has both, and usually opt for the bulb.

On the rare occasions when I talk to my caving colleague (when I know the cleaners have recently been to visit and the pile of sandwich/food wrappers will not spill out and engulf me when I open the door) at work - if I can deduce what is coming from his mouth through the heavy pitch beard replete with 7 months emergency rations: Ahem.... he was asking me if I had an old original style zoom.. apparently they're treasured amongst some of the caving fraternity - and he muttered something about them being very good with a LED conversion. I then found the state of his pallid flesh (that exposed around the facial hair mass) a little too disturbing to carry on the conversation and I ran away.

Thanks everyone... I just miss mine TBH, it was one of the first things I saved up for and bought as a nipper, and its disappeared. I'm not planning to use it for caving
