Purple Haze Strict Version

Anyone know how you do the strict version of Purple Haze (ie. without pulling up to the high crimp)?

Big move from position below to good lip hold out right, or more technical shuffling on intermediate things?

Instead of starting another thread I thought I'd just ask here;

I went up here the other day and noted a fair bit of chalk on a low start to Purple Haze which isn't in the guide (the ramp down from the pictured girl's right hip and the connecting slopey feature). I've seen that on peakbouldering.info this is listed with a quesiton mark and says start from 'set holds'.

Which holds  :-* ?

To add something useful, in answer to the original quesiton; Dense is on the money but you needn't match, or if you'd prefer just throw your right heel out far and start shuffling. One method saves ankle skin.

As far as I am aware the low start to Purple Haze starts just one move down from the lip, pulls on and slaps to the lip. The full low start from the back is still a project, but (IMO) will probably be one of those that is do-able but will not be good enough quality to be worth the effort/ difficulty involved.

Thanks Andy, that makes a lot of sense. I guess the proj. would be better if it had a definitive starting point such as at Master Kush but it seemed the chalk started in the middle of nowhere. Wish I'd remembered Cheeks 'n' Beaks existed whilst I was up there.

Did this yesterday. Though a bit eliminate I thought it climbed much better than the high crimp way. Here's my beta. The ninja kick at the end may well not be the easiest way but is very good nonetheless.
