Grip order when finger boarding

With all this talk of training half crimps when training on a fingerboard, I thought I'd add a couple of sets of repeaters with a half crimp on to the end of my fingerboard session.  (the big four finger edge of a Beastmaker 2000)

To my dismay, I got half way through the first set and my right hand "fell" out of a half crimp position and into an open handed position.  This has happened a couple of times now, I get half way through the set and my half crimped hand seems to relax into an open handed position. 

Obviously my half crimp is weaker than my open hand but is part of the reason for this poor performance likely to be fatigue, having already done 9 sets of repeaters with variations of an open handed grip?  And is a half crimp more intense or something, should I be doing it at the beginning of the fingerboard session?

As it says on the Beastmaker website, if you're unable to finish a decent set of repeaters for a particular grip, the best thing to do is perform some deadhangs with that grip for 30 - 60 seconds to start with. When all's going well, move on to repeaters then.

How would you apply this to campussing? I'm stronger going left arm first on 1-4-6 and can 1-3-6 going left first too. Going right first I struggle with 1-4-6 but can manage 1-3-6 fairly reliably. It's obvious that my right arm is weaker for pulling through, how do I train that weakness? Just do more campussing going right first? This seems more intense and tiring to do so and might lead to imbalances/injuries on the right arm.

Are you sure that it's your right arm that's weaker at pulling and not your left that's weaker at pushing?  Is your technique identical on either side?  Can you do the move if you start from 1-4?  There's a lot more technique and subtlety to campussing than it first appears.

Hmm, good point, hadn't thought of it like that. I have noticed my legs (and therefore CoG) aren't symmetrical. I think it probably is pulling though as I've got bad campus technique and don't really push with my bottom arm. As I say, I can 1-4-6 and 1-3-6 easily enough going left first but both seem more difficult going right first. Also I find one-armers easier on my left arm.

Andi, which finger are you doing it with? I find ring a lot scarier than middle so tend to campus wider. But yeh what Stubbs said. I find when I haven't campussed for ages the best way to get back technique is to say take holds one n four n do a few pull ups, then one n five n do less pull ups, but stopping each with your chin directly over your hand
