Well true, bouldering guides have changed places like Cratcliffe from being on my own, to last time I went well over 50 people!

Trouble is I have never bouldered in Wales and was off there soon and have no idea where the best places to go are.

Good luck, I've never seen any rock in Wales :clown:

Mmm kind of thinking that the 'Chuffing' section wasn't the place to get a serious answer on this one!

Chuffing == trad routes

Chuffing != bouldering (which has its own sub-forum  ;) )

How soon do you need one Spinmaster? Assuming you mean north Wales I have a barely-used copy of the old guide I'm willing to part with.

Thanks for the kind offer, much appreciated. Was just looking at booking a cottage and was wondering on the best area. Will go for around the pass to be on the safe side. I won't actually be going until May, so if the new guide isn't out by then it would be great to borrow yours. Is there a way I can email you?

The new guide will be out later in the year, probably late autumn.

Lots going on this winter season - another quality addition yesterday:

Thanks Pantontino, looks good. The old one sounds like the best option.

Had a cottage in Betws y Coed for a week last year, was great for Ogwen (Caseg Friath is good) and the Pass. RAC boulders are good for an easy mileage session. Had the family in tow so limited to evening bouldering escapes.

Booked for just south of Caernarfon this year, close to the beach and touristy stuff for the brood but also prime for the Pass. Will make a point of getting down to Ysgo which seems to miles away from anything, and maybe some chuffing at Tremadog which is reasonably close.
