Both fit me nicely so the question is which is the better all-round shoe for bouldering on the steeper stuff? Performance and durabilty......

Odd - my Pythons fit like a glove but I can't get into the Teams in any sensible size...
Anyway the pythons are great - unsurpassed for heel and toe hooking in my experience, pretty soft so perhaps not the best for biting into little dinks like the dragons or solutions. I was a little concerned by the longevity of the elastic strap to begin with, but I've had them for six months now of pretty heavy use and they're showing no signs of excessive wear or manufacturing defects (unlike my 5X, which I love as a smeary boot, but the rand is peeling off, despite having had much less use). 5.10s erratic sizing and quality would swing it to the sportivas for me even if the Teams fit I think.

I've had several pairs of teams and have now converted to pythons. I preferred the pythons because i didn't have to go through a breaking in period of crippling pain when first got them, unlike the teams. They are very soft which isn't great on small edges but for indoors/comps and steep outdoor climbing they're brilliant. Very good for heel and toe hooks too.

I took the easier option and went for another pair of Dragons

Interesting because I found the Python too narrow as they are so pointy in the toebox. From memory the heel was marginally better on the Python than the Team.

Still, I suspect that the rubber coverage and slight downturn of the team would give them the edge on roof climbing ONLY. I've never felt a heel-toe cam as secure as it felt in a team!

You probably made the right choice with the Dragons though, I love mine. Definitely my favourite (but most painful) shoe and it's not like you even have to lace them that often, eh?
