Fontainbleau help
October 10, 2011, 02:02:55 pm
Gday fellow boulderers my name is dan. I'm a climber from brisbane australia in europe for 2 months. I started my trip with another climbing mate from aus in early september. We did rodellar for 2 weeks and then font for one week and i was totally blown away, especially by font. For the past 3 weeks ive been doing the sightseeing/piss up thing with some non climbing mates and now i'm really keen to boulder again.

Is anyone going to be in fontainbleau from the 16th - 23rd of october? I'd really like to tag along if possible. the hardest part is not having a car, so it'd be really great if someone could give us a lift from font to musardier. If this isn't possible i'll probs just hitch.

if anyone has any advice on the best way for me to get on some rock i'd love to hear. Cheers

The hardest part's going to be getting to la Musardiere, it's not a very straightforward hitch from Fontainebleau town and France isn't the best country in the world for getting lifts. You can either risk long waits, take a taxi or walk, depending on your budget. La Musardiere is fairly pricey as camping goes and is either loved or hated. It is however the most convenient without a car. Gorge aux chats and most of the trois pignons are close enough to walk, and you'll meet loads of people in October anyway.

Is useful.

Don't try walking without the IGN map.
