Holding front levers without exploding eyes
September 23, 2011, 02:10:18 pm
Has anyone got any tips on holding a front lever without bursting a major blood vessel in my head? Or are you meant to breathe whilst holding it? I never seem to be able to hold it for more than about 7 seconds before feeling kinda weird.

Cheers!

breathe and relax your face/head/jaw as much as possible

if you are trying to look at your feet/core to see whether you are doing it right, you will be squishing your throat and blood pipes - so you will feel like your eyeballs are about to explode - hold your chin up a bit

It is a benchmark gymnastic feat of strength and there is plenty of material out there to train and progress towards it such as this
