Pex Hill Today 20/September
September 20, 2010, 10:44:46 am
Does anybody want to go to Pex Hill right now this very second. I am about to go in half an hour or something and I have never been and do not have a guidebook so it would be good to have a local show me some of the classics.
If anyone wants to get in touch you can ring me on O7846-187921.

Not if he turns right on entering the quarry and concentrates on Pisa Wall eliminates etc. Well worthwhile in my opinion. In fact I've done the very same thing in poor conditions many a time. Xmas Eve in the snow was the most challenging session IIRC.

Most of the wall was minging except Pisa wall which was pretty dry. Looks like there are some awesome problems in the rest of the quarry. I came up with a few decent eliminates but there is only so much you can do by yourself with a postage stamp size bouldering mat.

Good stuff, I'd have been surprised if you couldn't have climbed today.  As Jon says, you can usually climb right through the winter there.  I certainly go there more frequently in the winter for the better friction and have managed to get on most things at some point of the winter.  Give it a couple of dry days and most of the classics on the Lady Jane (the green) Wall are in climbable nick.
