Well that's not particularly unusual but he is normally climbing. On Sunday 7th March he will be doing a slideshow/lecture type thing to launch his book.

More details soon but one very important thing is that the Big stone boys have hinted that they might provide some free beer for everyone

You should do a range of "come on arms...." promotional bumper stickers and prosthetic moustaches.

Jerry's written a book?! That's not been very well publicised.

Should be a good night, just saw the Works Big Dogg down Waitrose buying nibbles and cocktail sausages for the evening.

In the spirit of this thread (i.e. free advertising for a commercial venture (!)), I'd like to announce that the official launch of the book will be happening at Outside in Hathersage on the evening of 9th or 10th March (TBC). Yes, I appreciate it's after the Work's event but for a nominal fee you will get a glass of wine and a buffet and you won't have to wear all your coats whilst listening to the great man.

How much of this have you got Graeme ? (I'm assuming you're in charge of beer procurement on behalf of the company)
Have you got any now that's available for a sort of preview ?

Andy Bowman is dropping off 250 bottles. Of course I have got an advance bottle to do a comparison test, it tastes very similar to a Kelham Island brew that is ABV 5.2%  :alky:

My mate Bernie has recently grown a moustache and now does bear a striking resemblance to Big Ron ..... Sadly he seems a bit camera shy ......

I was dragged in to American apparel at the weekend by 'her ladyship' and was pleased to note that you could reconstruct Ron's 80's climbing outfit from just that one shop.

They had the shorts, the knee socks, the headbands and the nylon windcheaters.

They even stock lycra tights in every colour you could possibly conceive of.
