although i'm not sure he actually gets a second kick, looks more like his foot just hits the rock on the way past.

i don't get you. the only thing his foot hits after they leave the big breaks is a flat "smear" bit of rock with his right foot, which deffo ain't a proper kick.

check it frame by frame - defo looks like 2nd kick with right foot before he catches the jug

yeah i know it looks like it, but you gotta ask how much extra upword movement are you going to get from smacking an overhanging smear? it looks like he gets more outwards movement from that kcik if you ask me and not much if any extra upward movement, he's almost at the jug by that point anyroad innit?

yeah his foot accellerates dead fast from the wall after the kick (movement per frame) which i rekon means he's fully kicking it

2nd gen it is then

Your feet start at only about 2m off the ground I would have thought at the start of the move however you travel a pretty long way do two foot moves then get the sloper high on the arete with your right hand. However at this point your momentum is actually heading off to the left at some significant speed which pulls you off the sloper so your left hand has to go round to the left side of the arete and up a bit to grab a good hold before your right comes off. The whole route is probably only 7 metres-ish but the landing is appaling. It slopes away big time and falling of the crux would land you horizontally either face first or back first (depending on which hold failed) on an exposed upturned tree stump - spiky! Basically on-sighting it would be ludicrous using this technique. With a lot of mats and spotters it would probably be a highball boulder problem, but I wouldn't like to suggest a grade.

(Oh yeah this is in answer to daves question on page 4)

Not convinced on that northumberland dyno!

Thought of another example...... remember those masters of stone videos? There was footage of (i think) todd skinner doing a bloody great double handed dyno followed by an instant lob/slap to a finishing jug. 2nd gen or just a very dynamic solution to a problem with 3 very spaced holds????? Suppose it depends on whether ur saying 2nd gen is an only relavent to an extra push with a foot (as opposed to a grab with a hand like jerry on the joker!!)

Either way look a good problem!!!!
