If he got back on and finished it, how's that not on sight? I thought all that redpoint shit was reserved for sport climbs. He could have come down and said he'd done it anyway. Typical though innit, as soon as someone does something really good and inspirational, doubting Thomas comes out and acts the cunt.

Well technically speaking it isn't really a full "onsight" and I think it would be wrong to claim it.

What it is though is an "awesome fucking achievement" and I don't think anybody has doubted that. This is an article about an inspiring ascent, not about a "failed" onsight.

Same same but different.
