Mabley Green Boulder, Hackney, London
April 16, 2009, 10:58:18 am
I'm totally psyched about the fact that there are now nice granite boulders in the middle of two parks in east London, but the problems on them are pretty hard, I'd say they're mostly V7 upwards and I don't have a bouldering matt... was wondering if anybody in the area had a bouldering matt and fancied crushing some of the problems on either the Mabley Green boulder or the Shoreditch park boulder... I'm a good spotter!  Why pay to go climbing indoors when we now have a pair of sweet boulders to climb on for free.

Give me (Ben) a text or a call if you're up for it. 07522575102

Having only been to the Shoreditch Park one, the problems aren't that hard. There are at least six problems on that boulder in the font 6a - 7a range.

It would be interesting to know how much genuine bouldering use they are getting.

Yeah I've been to the shoreditch park boulder as well and the problems are definitely easier... I still feel a bit uncomfortable climbing there without a pad or spotter though! I have been known to fall off easy problems from time to time! Let me know if you fancy heading over to the Mabley Green boulder at any point and if I'm free I'll definitely be up for it.
