I reckon he actually did fuck it up, thought the bullet it was genuinely in 5, then had a moment of "either my career ends now on live TV, or I take a 1 in 3 chance cappin my own ass". Either that, or that's what he was trying to make us think...not sure about the 'Russian Roulette idol' bit either.

The thing after it was a bit crazy as well - saw the ladyboy thing coming a mile off, but still funny  :shock:

I can't belive i fukcing bastard missed it!!! They fucking advertise it on TV for weeks in advance, and then when it actually gets down to this week, did i see an advert telling me what time is was on? did i fuck. did anyone i know mention it to me this week? did they fuck. I got straight in from the steelers and went to the pub. gutted!

For whats its worth he woulnd't be even considering doing it on live telly unless he had it totally practiced and wired, but you can never rule out fuck ups on the day. all his other stuff is the bomb.

i did however watch the 50 greatest magic thing which was on afterwards. I was quite amused that the #2 best magic trick of all time is the one i can do.

Anyone read in the paper this weekend that vegas gay boys Siegfried and Roy, they of liberace/magic/big cats show spectacular had a bit of an accident last week, one of em was mauled by one of their white tigers mauling his neck badly..........

i think strictly speaking they were concerned about the safety of the members of the public involved, i.e. getting hit by the bullet second-hand. I think if they were really concerned about people being hurt by blanks then they woulnd't allow licensed handguns on the island anyway.

You can apply such cyncism to just about anything on tv as we never really know whether it's been cut/edited/etc.  Look at a lot of Blaine's stuff, the first time I saw that I was amazed but then you find out some of it is edited.

It's just entertainment, and if it had people on the edge of their seats when they were watching it, then it's done it's job.
