Child Friendly Bouldering Spots
February 01, 2009, 03:29:00 pm
So I am thinking about going to Yorkshire or the Peak at Easter, and looking for some decent venues where the kids can boulder, and the little one can run around relatively safely. Burbage and Brimham are the obvious candidates - any other suggestions?

Cratcliffe & Robin Hood's.  Warm, has some low, easy boulders, good for picknicks etc, gentle walks for the bored.  Perfect.

Secret Garden is OK.  Burbage North and South boulders, as already mentioned.
Almscliff is OK, bits of Brimham are OK.  Avoid Earl.
Widdop and Kebs are also good venues, but beware the Midges/wind.

Big Jim? Jeez, if he's bigger than jim, that's pretty big.

caley would be alright if you made sure they were taller than the bracken.
