right then all my N95 has just crashed, all I am getting is a flashing screen of fuzziness

any ideas?

I tried shutting it down, taking the battery out etc etc

Have you got insurance with your network provider? If so they'll probably replace it no questions asked. If not, then it might still be under your Nokia warranty. If so you can take it to a Nokia Service Centre - they will take it from you for a week or two and repair it.

If not then a new screen seems to be about £25 to £30 if you can fit it yourself (no idea how hard it is), and presumably a bit more if you can't.

Neil, you can get a new screen from ebay for just over £20. Make sure you get a genuine Nokia one tho.
I can probably fit it for you, I've replaced screens in many different nokia phones over the years and its a piece of piss, main difficulty is usually getting the case off.
I'll put my mobile phone screwdrivers in when we come over next week

Nice one all, thought It might be the screen, bit shot though only had it a few months, I will take it back to the shop today and see if they can replace it, if not i will buy a new screen

Have you tried doing a hard reset?

The hard reset process is as follows:-

1. Power off the phone (or remove the battery if it will not power off)
2. Press&Hold 3 * and GREEN buttons at same time
3. Power on (still holding the three buttons)
4. Wait 60 seconds (still holding the three buttons)

yes tried that a couple of times, also tried the *#7737# thing i found on tinterweb, something to do will a full re install. i will be taking into the shop tomorow, the problem  is though jim, I dont think I can get a new screen here in time for you to fit it.
