Title: Padding for home board
Post by: jakes on July 30, 2008, 11:04:01 pm
I've just finished building a board, but as I don't want to knacker my pads, was wondering where people got stuff from to pad theirs (mattresses, foam etc.)? And also whats best to use? Cheap options are good!

After making our spare room my daughters new room, I have just put an old and springy (but clean) double matress in the garage. It'll be going to the tip in the next two weeks - unless you fancy picking it up from Pinxton (jnct 28 M1)

Old matresses are the way to go. Just put a skip outside your house and turn your back. Five minutes later there will be an old mattress lying in it, guaranteed.

Gather as many as required (that hopefully aren't stained with too many bodily fluids) then get some very heavy tarp an pin it over the top, then you're ready to rock.

An old foam matress is best, something like a dunlopillo.
