Title: Wrights Rock, Churnet Valley-info needed!
Post by: Loz! on July 29, 2008, 10:39:33 am
Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone know of any problems/grades for the walls to the left of the main bouldering area at Wrights Rock?  There's one vertical one immediately left of the steep section with "the Undercut" etc on it, and then about 50 yards further left, another small steep buttress with a few long move looking problems?
The one immediately left of the main area had a really good straight up problem using a pebble and a right handed slopey crimp to reach for a largeish hold in the break-any ideas what this is?
Thanks,
Laura

You should find the 'new' downloadable topo in there

Is said place a good summer venue? I've heard it's in the shade all day.

Thanks for the topo link-just what I was after! That 6c+ is the one I was on about, it's brilliant.  Regards weather-we were up there last Saturday, which was scorching hot, and Wrights Rock was in the shade pretty much all the time, and was cool enough to climb on, yeah!

In shade until 18.52 and 33 seconds, or at least it was tonight!

So that be 18.50 and 33 seconds tomorrow!
