A bit of a heads up for y'all.
B and Q do a 3 brush set for £2.48. Now, it's an abrasive Stanley brush set (http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9285392&fh_view_size=6&fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB&fh_search=abrasive+brushes&fh_eds=%c3%9f&fh_refview=search&ts=1215888884834&isSearch=true) and contains one nylon brush, one brass brush and one small wire brush. I do not condone the use of wire brushes on crags/boulders, but the nylon one is about as stiff as an M16 so it's a good deal if you happen to want this and 2 others for DIY. Although obviously it isn't a double ended effort.
Anyway, just in case you want something cheap and chearful to add to your brush collections.

You 'ave ze la Piss, non? (said with fake fanch accent).
Nah, just another cheap alternative for those that want that sort of thing.

As someone pointed out before, the bristles on the Brass brushes are a bit soft and do actually discolour the rock.

if you want cheap and cheerful hows about a pack of five toothbrushes from poundland for a quid.

Chris- True, but like I say I wouldn't condone using that brush on real rock. Moss possibly, but not rock.
David- Your suggestion is equally valid, but you just don't get the variety with those toothbrush packs

I see your poundland and raise you a morrisons - 4 for 30p. that's 12 and 10p change for the price of your pitiful poundland toothbrushes.
