Title: Fingerboard attached to bar ?
Post by: Menon on June 16, 2008, 10:40:45 pm
I've a vague recollection of having seen something onthis somewhere but can't find it.  Is there any way attaching a small fingerboard to a pull-up bar for temporary use when away ?  Any solution suitable for a DIY dope would be a good solution.  Thanks

Theres some ideas in this thread (http://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,3263.0/all.html).  You'd need to attach the finger board to some plywood backing sort of thing, but it should give you some ideas.

Dead Easy.  The holes meant for screws - put them plastic closure things through them (the police have black ones for cuffing people quickly), and close them around the bar.  They are extremely strong - we used them on hockings.  You can buy them in B+Q in white.  Pretty good for body tension, as if you move weakly, the board moves with you.
