Title: 7a owler tor
Post by: a dense loner on October 02, 2007, 01:19:44 pm
talking the overhanging square-cut block 7a here, mentioned in ru's guide. has anyone done it and thought this was indeed 7a? tried it briefly today, the key word is 'tried'. felt a fair bit harder than 7a. with the 5 ft topout concentrating the mind somewhat if you're on your own

If I remember right, the knowledge is to not bother trying to snatch any of the nasty left hand holds. Just pull on and slap for the lip with your left hand.

Sorry, don't know why I used two posts there.

thought that might be the case in the end but didn't want to go dynoing and tempt broken neck with 3 coach loads of schoolkids prowling about the moors. trying to use the other holds reminded me of 'just like honey'
