Title: Altec Lansing Speakers
Post by: Monolith on September 01, 2007, 06:09:34 pm
OK, I have 70 quid (stop laughing audionerds) to play with and want a set of speakers to listen to music from my laptop. I know absolutely nothing about audio matters. Are these hyped reviews of Altec Lansing speakers justified or should I just buy a 70 quid amp from Richer Sounds to use in conjunction with my existing speakers?

I wish I had the money to be an audiophile..

Dunno about the Altecs but i've had four JBL Control 1s for years now, and they are tough as fuck (apart from when SamT kicked one down the stairs), sound great, are compact and cheap.

i'm not an "audiophile" (whatever the hell one may be) but i've got a set of Creative I-trigue 3600, it comes with two speakers a control unit with line in and a sub for about 80 squid I think.

Tried to find a pic for you but stumbled upon a review instead:

ps - you CAN get them cheaper than t3 suggests
