Whats the weather like up Peak District way today (bit grey down here in N'pton)
so long as its not raining i'll take a blast up and have a play - in fact overcast and windy would be good as i can hop on the grit that way (although it means i'll have to keep the top up on the parents mx5 for the drive up :( )

When I left Sheffield about an hour and a half ago it was overcast but with a hint of blue sky, and a nice breeze. A few spots of rain around Chesterfield but nothing major. Looking gloomy but dry in Notts now.
I reckon you'll be fine for a bit of grit action - go on, you know you want to :D

It is dry here in Sheffield - Come up and play!

Leeds is bright and breezy, and when I left sheff it was overcast but looking 'perky', although the pollen must be up as I look like a bereaved heroin addict this morning.
Does anyone know a decent remedy for hayfever?

I get these:

but at £4:39 for 7 they are still quite expensive but seem effective. I've just run out so my eyes are bleeding right now....

It's that fine rain that soaks you through.

What time is it there?

"when you going away?"
<looks at watch> "not while end o' june"
must stop it now....

it was too damn hot! - good weather for cruising round the peak with the top down on my parents tart car though
drove up through overcast windy conditions thinking excellent for grit - headed for the plantation and the bloody sun came out
added to which i was pathetically weak (i blame a combination of a dodgy elbow, food poisoning the other day and recovering from a 13 hour flight), have lost the knack for grit (too much bolt clipping in foreign climes) and flailed on problems i've done a million times before
having said which, my tips are thin, my ankles are bloodied and i can't wait to get back out on Sunday - shame its gonna piss it down all weekend!
