Ok then this was the plan, zip across to raven tor as fast is humanly possibly, crank for a few hours then zip bak all in time for tea.
But no, what actually happened was because of crap directions by old people (who looked like Edwards & Tubs from league of gentlemen) & then even worse directions from people who looked like they were squattin in a house we spent 2 & a 1/2 hours bushwackin to get there...& then we were 2 knackered to climb :crying: !!!
Dammit....saw Ben Heason & Steve Mcclure & other strong people...which was quite funky....
The motto of this story dont trust the old or non climbers!! :D Then you will live long & prosper....:term:

Ha ha!! Do you mean the same Raven Tor with a road about 20 ft away from the crag :P
Never trust a local, sounds like you was well and truly sandbagged!

Sounds like you went to Cheedale. Nice.

Yeah you were probably at the cornice. you probably were in the right rough area when you parked only went west instead of east.

Yes that Raven Tor damn locals! No flippin need!! Sooo not right! Ah well, i learnt many things, locals & old people are untrustworthy,
bouldering mats cease to be comfy after 1/2 an hour,
Raven Tor is stupidly polished (but nice)
Cars are better than walking!! :D
