dunno about steaks, but i can recommend you an hotel in biasca ("city of zombies", how a switz friend of mine told me), with a nice brothel/illegal gambling house in the back, packed with east-european workers busy with betting and...you guess it.
it the one just in front of the train station.

as for the ticks...everything in stonelove video.

and...haem...when you goin'? im close to my peak period... ;)

I'm also going for the weekend, so Nibile could you share some more information about this hotel in Biasca (tired of searching accommodation every time when I go there)
Thank you very much

rastata, its in biasca.
like five kms from cresciano in the opposite direction of bellinzona.

BUT:
in biasca theres also the hockey stadium (obviously). well, if you phone and theres room, you can sleep there, in the big rooms where visitors hockey team sleep during weekend matches or clinics. it was 10 euros a night. i have the number...nanananaaaa...
PLEASE:
save this info for climbers only. ;)

thanks for the knowledge, i'll be sure to go try la boule and le prou then! morton's sorted the accomodation though thanks nibs, i've done nothing towards this trip except manage to get more than 5 days off in a bloody row. rota organisers.... what the hell do they get paid for if they can't sort out the rota, and i have to organise my own cover... anyway, cheers doyle, if it rains i'm gonna fucking cry, or bum dobbin. took last week off had the option of that or this week and look at the weather from last week compared to this. at least the rain did the garden some good.

I don't remember. Anyway, I think that week is my 7 off so you might have an unwelcome visitor to disrupt your little swiss love nest

I spoke to dobbin today, so this is straight from the horses mouth;

"I am sunbathing at cresciano!
  Its warm
James has his top off
  Its cock out weather here"

I don't know exactly why he mentioned having his cock out after mentioning that james was undressed but I'm sure there are viable reasons...

Hopefully it will cool down before next week.

tell them to give a call if they need weather/bouldering info for down here, like a couple hours south of cresciano.
Title: Re: cresciano inspire me.
Post by: Nibile on January 29, 2007, 04:04:47 pm
but no cocks out if they come south.
Title: Re: cresciano inspire me.
Post by: Jim on January 29, 2007, 06:30:48 pm
why haven't they gone to magic wood or chironico then instead of sunbathing?
it better cool down next week or my cock will be out!

We're not going for a sausage fest Jim. Anyway, there is a spare place on this magical trip so if any of you punters fancy joining in the fun with some big number and some medium numbers, get in touch with me. We are leaving this sunday and return the following sunday. I can only promise good times, hard problems, Jim's sausage, and mescaline.
Title: Re: cresciano inspire me.
Post by: Jim on January 30, 2007, 10:00:02 am
never mind the sausage. wait till you taste the hams

:-\ should i risk the sausage to try the mescaline? :-\

If you try the mescaline first, the sausage may well be least of your worries.  Then again, maybe not...

I'll bring a babies arm holding an apple incase the sausage disapoints

Is it so fucking difficult to write you're when you mean you are!?!?!

Anyway, dobbin informs me it is still hot at hell but is due to cool down in time for our arrival.

you'll be on the recieving end of an apple holding babies arm at this rate if you don't calm your waters Uncle.
Fucking hell I am psyched out of my tiny little mind. (for climbing not babies arm action)

just got back. saw 2 clouds all week. they were emanating from dobbin's buttpipe after eating some particularly cheap cereal bars. he should have done le pilier, but instead put holes in his fingers. ya was tres warm i did indeed have my shirt off, trying to scare the italians. DON"T go to magic unless you fancy snowball fights and climbing verglas. we did. chironico was good. i'd recommend taking a heap of finger skin.
we didn't need the masks.
i'd recommend pleasure tv, and series16 of the simpson's. oh and if you ever get the option of watching memento, don't.
oh and eichof is a very nice beer.

Having just returned from a week there here are some pics to get you psyched. Pics are only of cresciano since that is what this thread pertains to (other pics to follow in the bouldering pics thread).

may i ask you where were you staying?
was the parking busy with vans? is it still possible to sleep there?

I think sleeping up there is no problem. Perhaps busy on the weekend but definitely room during the week. I had the priviledge of arriving there one morning to find an old swiss man doing his morning yoga in the sunshine right in the middle of the car park!

We stayed in an apartment in lumino, about 7 miles from cresciano.

Scenes witnessed at cresiano:
huge donkey lines on a 20 degree slab (almost a step to be honest), a big group all using pof and some fucking idiot beating a drum all morning
Fucking euro's. (no offense Nibs)
