Ok,
Having just moved house, I now have a unused quarry about 10 minutes walk away from my new house which has a couple of bolted routes in it. The routes to my knowledge are never used but I would like to boulder about in the quarry but the rock is dirty and overgrown. So apart from getting rid of the creepers and other plant life whats the best sort of brush for cleaning the dust and dirt off rock without damaging the rock?
Cheers...

What sort of rock is it?
Best to avoid wire brushes as much as you can - get a big, stiff, non-wire thing and that should clear most of it.

Er its rock...
I will try to find out though. And will give a plastic brush a try.

Some hard rock types aren't damaged by using wire brushes (unless you go crazy with 'em) but soft rocktypes usually are.
If in doubt, only use wire brushes as a last resort....
