Title: Is there any way to play Flash videos one has saved?
Post by: Blunk on October 10, 2006, 11:57:15 pm
For instance, the Winter Session trailer. It's a .flv file, which I can save, but I cannot get Flash player to play it if I try to open the file. Damn the bastards!

Thanks for the help--

I was going to suggest that VLC player might work, but upon a root around on Sourceforge, I found:

No probs. I'm not sure if you can view files in full screen format with this, and if that's an issue for you?

I'm sure you can just open these files with internet explorer. right click and "open with" - "internet explorer"

Jim, I failed miserably trying to get IE to open those files, tried it a bunch of different ways including following your advice.

Monolith, I don't care a whole lot about viewing size so FLV-Player works fine.
