Is a bit on the wet side. When I went on sunday there was a couple of inches of water underneath Caviar and a good sized pool under foot at the pillar to the left of the three traverses. I would like to go back on thursday but as I dont own a dinghy I wont be able to get involved with what I had in mind, so if you should pass, could you report what state the ground is in?

I think ned is heading out tomorrow afternoon, he's not got internet access at the minute but try his mobile.
-
rained a lot through the night and so far today (at least in Leeds), so that may be it. Will try the mighty feehally.

Any idea what is/isn't in condition currently? My mate thinking of the sissy, and possibly looking at some of the bouldering also?
i.e. how lakelike is it at the moment? :wall: ?
cheers

Was there Sat and sun and when i left about 3pm on sun everything was in good nick and no wading was needed.
Must get a lot stronger...

well I had sort of given up on Caviar figuring it would never be dry again and when I arrived on Sat it fully was. Gutted not to bring the ropes and that!
Sissy can remain climbable all year round sometimes.

Think, i may have seen you on the saturday...I was failing on kudos.. :(
-
Dont be soft, you were doing fine! suspect you could do with flexibility to get you up it!

:-\
hmmm...maybe. Anyone any ideas on the conditions there again? Does the lake currently touch the limestone or is there a muddy path seperating the two. :D
-
A bit late in the year for that isn't it? Even I draw the line at crimping that hard in the cold.

Hi a,
keep to get back on RD, but if the weather craps out (looks dubious for sunday at least) might be bouldering at rubicon. Mate ste is the one trying the "sissy".

Two weeks ago it was fine (realise thats not that much help), and I managed to do what I set out to so have turned my attention to the tor.
-
Was gonna go on sunday but mate checked it out. He said the ducks were swimming a bit close to the traverses and the kudos wall had some seepage streaks. So decided to visit the tor instead. However although everything appeared dry, the wind just funneled down the side of the crag and cut through all clothing. Turned into rest day. :(
