Title: Tegness
Post by: r-man on September 24, 2006, 12:49:25 am
Someone over there mentioned there was bouldering at Tegness. What's it like and what's to do?

If you're talking about the small quarry you can see from froggatt, I went for a walk up there the other night and didnt see anything that looked worth putting boots on for.
Saying that, if its tucked away I might have missed it.

I've looked there myself in the past and never seen anything of any merit. Might have missed some easy stuff or something very well hidden.

Hmm, guess we'll have to wait for the new BMC Frogatt guidebook. Just remembered there was a thread about someone cutting down a tree for an arete, which was about 7a+. Photos have gone from ukc, but see:

There's a project there (not sure if it's open) that Simon Jacques was going to show me but I never got around to going. Oli reckons it's around font 7a and has really unflowing moves on small holds.
