Title: Conditions report
Post by: squeek on September 12, 2006, 01:27:45 pm
Might drag my ropes out this weekend.  Anyone know the condition (or can have a good guess) of Chapel head Scar and Trow Gill?

Trow Gill - The wall on the RHS as you walk in is mainly climbable AFAIK (had a mate climb there on Saturday), the LHS wall (with Trowerbridge wall on it) may well be out od condition. Chapel Head may be in nick as it faces the sun for most of the day, but I've not been for a while.

Thanks Andy much appreciated, did your mate say whether the midgies were bad?  They were ferocious last time we went and after doing one route we had to retreat.

Nope no midgies. There was a breeze however.  :-\

We went to Chapel Head Scar on Saturday and most things were dry, although there were a few seepages at the bottom of a few climbs, but nothing too major.  It was pretty hot in the afternoon sun, but it didn't bother us much.
